I looked out my kitchen window this morning to find a whole flock of these birds in the bird garden. I managed to snap this shot before they all flew away. The bird wasn't listed in my bird guide, but I was able to find it pretty quickly. A Cedar Waxwing. Absolutely beautiful!
Yes, it is beautiful! We live in the Pacific NW. This winter and last winter we've had hummingbirds all winter. Yesterday, my husband refilled the feeders and before he could hang one of them the hummingbirds were trying to drink out of it so he just stood there and let them drink.
